My journey with Bai Yin Qigong began with HarmonyQi. I had tried tai chi before and it only stressed me more with all the movements so I did not have high hopes or expectations with Qigong.

But after learning Bai Yin Qigong, I feel the difference and benefits resonated in my body and mental state. Here are a few significant areas that qigong has helped:

Shoulder – I started HarmonyQi with a strained rotator cuff. Pain level was 4 and I could not reach. Now, I’m able to reach without pain.

Stress level – During the pandemic, my stress and anxiety level was higher than normal. After HarmonyQi, my husband noticed a stark difference in my attitude and overall outlook. I can enjoy the beauty surrounding me everyday!

My journey continued with YoungQi where I felt intimidated by all the movements but after a few weeks of daily practice, I was more comfortable. One positive outcome of YoungQi  is that my posture and slight scoliosis are better as evidenced in my recent physical check up where I am now 3/4” or 2cm taller, which means a lot to a short person like me!

Another area where both HarmonyQi and YoungQi helped is when I suffered trauma from a car accident. I reached out to Instructor Kai Hock who helped me tremendously in advising which techniques to focus on. This helped minimise the trauma impact on my mind. I am very grateful to Instructors Kai Hock and Kern Ling, who have been very caring, patient and informative, and to Martha who introduced me to Bai Yin Qigong, and gently keeps me disciplined. I look forward to learning EnerQi in April as my journey continues.
