I am glad that I graduated from HarmonyQi on 2 Aug 2021.
Out of the 30 days, I practised HarmonyQi for 25 days. Even though I am not the most hard working student, I am definitely an obedient student.
In the first lesson, Senior Instructor Yu Hua mentioned that we need to wear shoes during practice. During lunch break, I bought a pair of sneakers, and I have been wearing them since whenever I practise HarmonyQi.
After 25 days of practice, I noticed that my body is different from the past. I remembered in the first lesson, my knee was hurting, and it was quite a challenge to complete my lesson. For every action, I had to rub my knee to release the pain before I could continue with the next movement; I even had issues learning the Internal Sound Vibration Technique. I have knee pain for over 20 years. It is very painful for me to go up and down the stairs. Normally, I would plan my route so that I could avoid any staircases. My knee is still painful now, but I am happy to report that the pain has become bearable. I am now able to complete most of the exercises without any issues.
After 25 days of continuous practice , I also observed some improvements in my body.
I never sweat in the past, but now after second round of HarmonyQi, my body would become warm.
I used to have bloated stomach. Every night I need to apply Ruyi Oil to help relieve my stomach wind. In these 25 days, I noticed, I didn’t have a bloated stomach. I’ve had bloated stomach issue for years, every day from 5pm till 10 pm; I needed to find a way to release the stomach wind. I even developed a SOP to ease the issue :
1.apply the Ruyi Oil
2.get my 50kg child to sit on my tummy
3.take medicine
Before HarmonyQi, every morning after I woke up I needed to hit my upper body to activate the blood circulation before I could get out of bed. But now, I can just get up and get out of bed without any problems.
In the past, if I stood for 5 minutes, I would get back ache and would need to hit my waist to release the tension. Now, I can carry 3 heavy weight glass bottles and queue for 10 minutes without any issues.
I also used to wake up in the middle of the night due to extreme pain in the neck and shoulder. Now, I can sleep through the night and wake up feeling restful.
I am grateful that Senior Iris Ng introduced Bai Yin Qigong to me and Senior Anna Koh encouraged me throughout the class. I will continue to practise Bai Yin Qigong and make sure that I bring the youth back to my body. I am looking forward to YoungQi class in October.
